About Me

~Photo Taken 2011 by Bree Prince, Gemma’s cousin

Gemma is passionate about living every day as a content and happy human being.  She brings warmth and care everywhere she goes, but is a profound perfectionist, not resting until a job is done, and done well.

In her professional life, she works every day with the same high drive and determination. She started off her work career in fall of 2009 and created a full-time math tutoring business within months. In summer of 2010, she decided that a steady job was more her speed and found a receptionist position at a musical theater school in Hollywood. Musical Theater is one of her greatest passions, so being in this environment was amazing.  But soon, the evening hours got to her and she decided it was time to look for a 9-5 day job that would fit her routine-oriented self. What she found was utter perfection.  A receptionist position at the corporate office of the famous fitness brand, “Body By Jake.”

Because of her passion, she didn’t stay simply the “receptionist” for long. The Vice President, the Marketing Director, and Jake himself, started to give Gemma many different tasks to complete, all of which she finished with flying colors - running test orders, creating an entire binder-sized report on supplement manufacturers and vitamins themselves, and most recently, creating the company’s Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin accounts, which she updates daily.  There is simply not a lot that Gemma can’t do.

In her personal life, she has 5 main passions that propel her forward day to day:

1) The Arts - she is composing a full-length original musical, and enjoys recording multi-layer choral works. She recently participated in Eric Whitacre’s virtual choir, which recently created a performance of his composition, “Sleep.” www.youtube.com/virtualchoir

2) Personality Typing - she enjoys learning about Jungian Cognitive Functions and The Enneagram and sharing her love of typing with others. She is a 1w9 sp/sx INFJ. He mom and dad are 9w1 ENFP and 3w4 INFP respectively, and her very best friend in the world is 9w1 ISFP.

3) Charity - she donates $15 every other week to fantastic charities. She has a blog, www.26charities.tumblr.com, in which she documents her charity choices and urges others to match her donation. Her charities of choice range from those helping abused animals and children, to those giving relief to victims of tragedies, to those fighting homelessness and those searching for cures for cancer and other diseases.

4) Genealogy - preserving her family history is something that excites and motivates Gemma. She has located and reached out to cousins that she has never met and has spent countless hours with her Grandparents, having them help her complete her family tree.

5) Her friends and family - Her friends and family keep her afloat and are the rays of sunshine in her life. She cherishes every moment with them.
